GruberDental has been serving Northern New Jersey families—many for generations—for the past 41 years, as well as the local surrounding communities of Parsippany, Mountain Lakes, Morristown, Denville, Montville, Lake Hiawatha, and Morris Plains.

Michael Gruber, DMD, FAGD, FACD
Dentist
Dr. Michael Gruber was a 1979 Omicron Kappa Upsilon graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry and completed a prestigious General Practice Residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital in 1980. After four years of active dental practice, Dr. Gruber established the practice for Family and Cosmetic Dentistry in 1984. He received his Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry in 1986, and in 1988, completed comprehensive prosthetic training in Osseointegrated Implants.
In 2014, Dr. Gruber was nominated by his peers and accepted as a Fellow in the American College of Dentists (ACD), the oldest major honorary dentistry organization comprised of only 3.5 percent of practicing dentists in the United States. Its members have exemplified excellence through outstanding leadership and contributions to dentistry and society.
Dr. Gruber has also been consistently chosen by his peers as a "Top Dentist" in the annual N.J. Monthly magazine poll, and for the past 15 consecutive years he is one of only two General Dentists in the entire State of New Jersey to achieve this accomplishment. Dr. Gruber has also been chosen as one of NJ Top Docs/Dentists for the past 12 years as well as a continued Top Dentist by the National Consumers Research Council and USA Top Dentists.
Dr. Gruber is a member of the TriCounty Dental Society, the New Jersey Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of Comprehensive Dental Studies, and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. Dr. Gruber has been an attending at Morristown Medical Center since 1980, where he teaches cosmetic, restorative and implant dentistry, and in 2017 he was honored as the "Attending of the Year".
He also is the Founder and Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Newark Children's Dental Center, which provides through volunteer dentists and auxiliaries, free dentistry to all of the children of the club ages 5-18.
Alexa Gruber, DDS
Dentist
Dr. Alexa Gruber graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2016. Prior to her dental education, she attended the University of Richmond, and graduated in 2012 with cum laude honors. While at VCU, she completed a selective course in Advanced Prosthodontics, a mentorship in Oral Medicine and received awards from the Academy of Oral medicine and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
She continued her education in a one-year general practice residency at Morristown Medical Center, where she received advanced training in treatment of complex dental cases, oral surgical procedures, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, digital dentistry, dental implants and esthetic procedures. She also had extensive training in treatment and management of patients with dental trauma in an emergency setting. She is now an attending staff member at Morristown Medical Center. She also is a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics and is a skilled injector of Botox for cosmetics and TMJ therapy.
Dr. Alexa Gruber is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Tri-County Dental Society, New Jersey Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Comprehensive Dental Studies, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Gruber has also been consistently chosen by her peers as one of NJ Top Docs/Dentists as well as a continued Top Dentist by the National Consumers Research Council and USA Top Dentists. She is involved as a volunteer with Missions of Mercy and the Boys and Girls Club of Newark Children's Dental Center. She plans to continue to give back to her community through these organizations and hopes to be involved with their growth in the future.
As a member of the Gruber Dental practice since 2017, Dr. Gruber loves being able to make a tangible difference in someone’s life – whether it’s getting someone out of pain or enhancing their smile. When she is not at the office looking after patients, Dr. Gruber enjoys the outdoors. Hiking, sailing, and traveling are among her favorite activities. She also loves spending time with her family – particularly her husband, Doug, daughters Addison and Mackenzie, and their dog, Tex.
Dr. Marco Wu, DDS
Dentist
King Yin Wu, DDS, MSc
Prior to his dental education, Dr. King Yin Wu practiced as a registered dental hygienist in Vancouver, Canada, with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of British Columbia in 2013. He also earned his Master Degree in Craniofacial Science in 2016 from the same university, successfully defending his thesis on his research on predicting oral cancer recurrences. Dr. Wu then attended New York University College of Dentistry and graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2020. While at NYU, he was selected to complete an Honors course in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery where he was mentored in advanced surgical techniques.
Dr. Wu continued his education with a two-year general practice residency, the latter year serving as the Chief Dental Resident at Columbia University/New York Presbyterian Hospital. There he received advanced training in treating children and adults with special needs in the operating room, treatment planning complex dental cases, including restorative, crown and bridge, endodontics, dental implants and esthetic procedures. He also has extensive experience in managing and treating dental emergencies relating to dental trauma and infection from his time at one of New York’s busiest hospitals.
Dr. Wu is a member of several professional organizations, including the New Jersey Dental Association, New York Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. With his background in dental hygiene, Dr. Wu’s first priority is to ensure all his patients leaving his chair have healthy, long-lasting smiles, and he is excited to have the opportunity to do just that with the amazing team at Gruber Dental. In his spare time, Dr. Wu enjoys exploring new restaurants and foods, traveling, playing basketball, but also staying home, putting his feet up, tinkering and upgrading his laptops and computers.
Edward Rockford, DMD
Dentist
We are proud to introduce Dr. Edward R. Rockford to our practice. Dr. Rockford was a classmate of Dr. Michael Gruber at Fairleigh Dickinson School of Dentistry and a close colleague of Dr. Gruber’s for the past 35 years. Dr. Rockford was born and raised in Northern New Jersey. He attended Passaic Valley High School, received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck. He continued at Fairleigh Dickinson University of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry.
Dr. Rockford practices all phases of general dentistry, specializing in cosmetic and implant dentistry. He utilizes “all-ceramic” and metal-free restorations, natural lifelike veneers, and is certified in Invisalign orthodontics at the Silver Level. He is conservative in his approach to dental care, practicing preventative dentistry, and striving to maintain close personal relationships with his patients. Dr. Rockford embraces the latest technologies offered and is constantly revising his practice in dentistry through involvement in continuing education.
Dr. Rockford attended the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Studies FL, The Institute for Advanced Dental Studies MA, Morris Seminars (a NJ County Chapter of the Seattle Study Group) and has long been a member of the Academy of Comprehensive Dental Studies NJ. He has been a NJ Top Dentist for the past 8 consecutive years, from 2015 through 2022.

Dr. Rockford and his wife Kate (also his dental assistant), reside in Boonton Township. In their spare time, Dr. Rockford and Kate enjoy traveling, skiing, island vacations, sailing, tennis, and spending quality time with family and close friends. They enjoy making wine, cooking, and are dedicated “foodies.”
Dr. Tal Kohn, DMD
General Dentist
Dr. Tal Kohn's passion for dentistry began as a child when she underwent extensive dental treatment which positively influenced her life and inspired her to become a dentist herself. She graduated top of her class from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine where she received an award from the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. She continued her formal training by completing two general practice residencies at NYP-Weill Cornell and Newark Beth Israel. It is during her residency years where she gained proficiency in dentoalveolar surgery as well as full mouth restorative rehabilitation.
The end of schooling does not mean the end of education! Dr. Kohn continues to take course work after residency to gain mastery in many facets of dentistry. Of note, she obtained her license in Parenteral Conscious Sedation (aka, IV sedation). This makes her one of a few general dentists who can offer anesthesia as an adjunct to dental care.
She has a passion for individuals with special needs and treats both medically and intellectually complex individuals. She holds operating room privileges at Newark Beth Israel, where she performs comprehensive dental care in an OR for those individuals that fail in a traditional clinical setting.
She also is a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics and is a skilled cosmetic injector for botox and dermal fillers.
She is excited to join the Gruber Dental team performing oral surgery, restorative dentistry, sedation dentistry, special needs dentistry, and cosmetic services.
On her days off from the clinic she is an attending at Newark Beth Israel, educating the next generation of dentists.
Josephine Adornetto
RDH, Dental Hygienist
Josephine joined our team in 2001 after completing her education at both the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ and Montclair State. She is a Lincoln Park native.
Dentistry gives Josephine the opportunity to make people happy, and she loves seeing their smiles.
When she’s away from the dental office, you can find Josephine staying fit by working out, spending time with her family, and living her best life! Josephine is also a permanent makeup artist.
Alicja Ciastoch
RDH, Dental Hygienist
Alicja is a Teaneck, NJ native, and attended Kean University for her Bachelor of Arts Degree and attended Bergen County Community College for her Dental Hygiene Degree. She joined our practice in 2010.
Alicja loves being able to provide oral hygiene health and education to her patients. She loves seeing positive results when patients understand their oral health. Helping patients live healthier lives is truly rewarding.
When she is away from the office, you will often find Alicja doing yoga, skiing, and working out at the gym. Mostly she enjoys spending time with her family – her loving husband, energetic young daughter, and newborn son.
Cynthia Dodgson
RDA, Dental Assistant
Cynthia is one of our long-time team members, being a part of Gruber Dental since 1990. She is a Toms River, NJ native, and attended the County College of Morris for her dental assisting certificate.
Dentistry affords us the opportunity to improve people’s smiles, and that is Cynthia’s favorite part about being a dental assistant.
Cynthia loves to spend time with her children and husband at the beach.
Stacey Langereis
RDH, Dental Hygienist
Stacey joined our team in 2008 and is an East Hanover native. She attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey for her dental hygiene degree.
Our patients keep Stacey motivated. She loves working with the families we take care of.
When she’s not looking after patients, you will find Stacey going to the gym, playing sports with her kids, and cooking her favorite meals.
Kristina V Mikheyeva
RDA, Dental Assistant
Kristina started life in Russia until she was 12 years old, and now, she calls Parsippany, NJ home. She attended Morris County College and the Institute for Health Education to earn her RDA, CDA, radiography certification, and CPR training. As a lifelong learner, Kristina now attends Eastern International College and will earn her dental hygiene degree in 2020.
Kristina has been with Gruber Dental since 2012 and loves helping patients understand their oral health needs. She also enjoys the transformations our patients experience with cosmetic dentistry.
As an attentive mom, Kristina spends every spare moment with her daughter, Maya.
Kate Rockford
Dental Assistant
Kate’s hometown is Pompton Lakes, NJ, and she joined our practice in 2019. She earned her dental assistant certification from Montclair State.
As a people person, Kate loves taking care of our patients.
When she’s away from the dental office, Kate loves entertaining for friends, concerts (especially Jimmy Buffett!), skiing, and traveling.
The entire staff is very professional and friendly. They take their time and ensure you are receiving optimal care! I highly recommend them!
